Artist Level ( determining my own level like video games) :15

Skills + Techniques learned: Mixing and matching colors, draw hands, basics of PSP6.

Skills + Techniques in progress: Foreshortening, impact + dynamics, camera angling, drawing older people, Perspective.

Hmmmmm... kind of a long story. I'll try to shorten it. My parents are killer of ambition. All the activities I wanted to try out were crushed. I have a mother who is obsessed with extreme intellectuals, and a father who likes to laugh at failure. Not a loving family right? Well that is why I feel more attached to objects than I do to people. Grrrrr.....people. Anyways, drawing is the cheapest hobby out there besides sleeping and playing dead. All an artist needs is a pencil with an eraser and any kind of paper. No one can kill this hobby since supplies for school can also be used to draw. HAHAHA!

Ceramics, Painting 1, Art History. Yup, that's about it. Never taken drawing. My parents discourage taking art classes offered at school also. But, I guess no one really needs to take it. It'll just take longer to reach the goal of being a skilled artist. I like to observe things and find references from stuff like comic books my friends have.

First off I want to assert that I am NOT an anime freak. I only watched one series and that was practically it. I think to qualify as an anime freak, someone has to have a collection of anime related stuff and watch more than 5 series. It took me a while to figure out what it was that influenced my style of art, but I remembered it at last. Its Video games. Yup girls like playing video games too, and yes they can beat guys at it. Shouldn't be shocking. My favorite video game of all time is Final Fantasy 3 ( 6 in Japan). The storyline was great! The characters are cool, the sound the music, everything! I also own the copy of the game even though its used. Its hard to find a new copy since the system is obsolete and the game is no longer in reproduction for SNES .

Mainly the bad guys. Those characters always turn out better than the good guys. Anyways, the characters I like the most are : Zephyr, Krell, Aku, Darius, Caelius, Kanopus, and Zia.

I think my greatest fear is restriction. My reality and nightmares revolve around restriction. This made me think that I might not want to take drawing classes anymore. College is around the corner and I should be free to choose my courses. Do I want to take the classes? I don't really want to feel restricted in what I draw. I hate having to follow the guidelines, so maybe it is better not to take classes now because I might hate drawing afterwards. O_O;
